About The Konbini Club

A konbini is a Japanese convenience store, and calling it a "convenience store" is like calling Kyoto "a town with some temples." The snack shelves alone turn over with new limited editions every single week, and picking up something on the way home is a small national ritual.

Who writes this

I'm Sen — thirty-something, working at an IT company in Tokyo, which means I walk past three konbini between the station and my apartment and have strong opinions about all of them. This site exists because most "Japanese snack" content online is written by the companies selling the boxes. Somebody who actually lives here should be ranking them instead.
